COVID_19 Protocols

We have reduced numbers for our safety briefings, and reduced people on circuits at any one time. 

Please COMPLETE ONLINE WAIVER - EMAILED TO YOU WITH YOUR BOOKING CONFIRMATION. THERE IS NO NEED TO PRINT.   UNDER 18'S MUST HAVE WAIVER SIGNED BY PARENT OR GUARDIAN BUT WITH CHILD'S NAME INSERTED. 

• If anyone on this booking has Covid Symptoms, this person cannot attend Zipit.  Please contact us prior to your booked time.
• If anyone on this booking has been contacted by the HSE and confirmed as a close contact of someone who is covid positive, the whole booking must be rescheduled.  Please contact us prior to your booked time.
• One person only for check in.  We ask that the rest of the group remain off decking area.
• We would ask that you wear a mask during harnessing, as a courtesy to our Instructors.
• No seating areas will be available on the decking.
• Only one person per platform and one person per activity.
• Time on the course has been reduced to 3 hours.  We would ask that you don't stop for lunch breaks in or around the cabin area.  Reduced numbers on the course will still ensure the full Zipit experience.
• No personal belongings will be stored in the cabin.

 General Information

• Participants arriving late cannot be guaranteed a later timeslot and will not be refunded.
• Restrictions: Minimum age is 7 years. Minimum height is 1m. Maximum weight is 120kg (leg strap dimensions can also limit fitting of harness).
• Children may be tall enough and physically able to complete the higher circuits, but unfortunately they are limited by their age and, for insurance purposes, they must be booked under their true age.
• All participants under 18 must be supervised by an adult aged 18+ at all times. If the children under your supervision are on different circuits, you will need to arrange for additional supervisors. Zipit opens in the rain!  So please check the weather in advance to avail of our 48 hour cancellation/reschedule policy.
• Our parks use a safety system  involving the use of magnets. Magnets may interfere with the operation of pacemakers and ICD’s.  We recommend that you check with your doctor, before making a booking.

Parking:  €5.00 Coillte charge. Card only or Coillte Access Card.

• Gloves (these can also be purchased for €2 a pair).  Do not bring latex, fingerless or padded gloves.
• Small bottle of Sanitiser  (we do have sanitiser stations around the course).   Our forest location means no running water.
• Face Covering (optional - these will not be supplied).  Scarves will not be allowed for safety reasons.
• Clothing: No open-toed shoes or sandals.  We recommend bringing a light rain jacket in the summer.
• Zipit cannot store belongings during the current Pandemic, so please wear clothing with a secure or zipped pocket for your sanitiser, mobile, credit card, coins for parking and car keys.
• Long hair to be worn in a bun.
• Weather dependent - insect repellent and suncream.
• Credit Card - contactless payment is preferred.  No minimum charge.

Cancellations by the Customer

You are entitled to cancel your booking with full refund (excluding cancellation fee) subject to Zipit receiving your request for cancellation via email info@zipit.ie up to 48 hours prior to the booked start time.  If the booking has been made within 48 hours of start time, there is no entitlement to refund or reschedule.

Cancellations by Zipit Forest Adventures

Zipit is entitled to cancel your booking at any time. In the event that the company has to cancel your booking, we shall make every effort to notify you as soon as possible. You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancellation under this clause but no other compensation shall be payable.

In the event that it proves necessary to close one circuit, for reasons beyond the control of Zipit, where you have commenced participation on the course, you shall not be entitled to any refund (in part or in whole).

In the event that it proves necessary to close the whole Course for reasons beyond the control of Zipit, where your group has commenced participation on the course, you shall not be entitled to any refund (in part or in whole). In such circumstances Zipit may, but shall not be obliged to, offer alternative dates or times at reduced rates.

Payments made by debit or credit card will be refunded to the same card.  Please allow up to 5 working days.
